They look worth a look. I tend to land just behind the ball of my foot anyway and all the gubbins in the heel is wasted on me 'cos it barely touches the ground anyway unless I'm getting tired.
Chi and Pose running techniques both promote forefoot striking. I guess the key is to not try and "reach" too far forward and to try and pick up your foot at the back and place it down gently just in front of you. I would say that it hammers your achilles and calf until you are used to it though which is why I guess they say to start using them slowly.
Hopefully around Christmas I'll be light enough for some New Balance RC152s :-)
